چکیده

The coexistence of π-flux state and d-wave RVB state is considered in this paper within the slave boson approach. A critical value of doping concentration δc is found, below which the coexisting π-flux and d-wave RVB state is favored in energy. The pseudo Fermi surface of spinons and the physical electron spectral function are calculated. A clear Fermi-level crossing is found along the (0,0) to (π, π) direction, but no such crossing is detected along the (π, 0) to (π, π) direction. Also, an energy gap of d-wave symmetry appears at the Fermi level in our calculation. The above results are in agreement with the angle-resolved photoemission experiments which indicate at a d-wave pseudo-gap and a half-pocket-like Fermi surface in underdoped cuprates. نظریه میدان میانگین برای ابررسانایی مسی دمای بالا

Two decades ago the epoch making discovery of high Tc cuprate superconductivity by Bednorz and Müller shocked the world’s superconductivity community. However, already in 1979 and 1980, the first heavy fermion superconductor CeCu2Si2 and organic superconductor (TMTSF)2PF6 have been discovered respectively. Also we know now that all these superconductors are unconventional and nodal. Further t...

Phenomenological theory of the underdoped phase of a high-Tc superconductor.

We model the Fermi surface of the cuprates by one-dimensional nested parts near (0, pi) and (pi, 0) and unnested parts near the zone diagonals. Fermions in the nested regions form 1D spin liquids and develop spectral gaps below some approximately T*, but superconducting order is prevented by 1D phase fluctuations. We show that the Josephson coupling between these order parameters locks their re...

Quantum oscillations in the high-Tc cuprates.

We review recent progress in the study of quantum oscillations as a tool for uniquely probing low-energy electronic excitations in high-T(c) cuprate superconductors. Quantum oscillations in the underdoped cuprates reveal that a close correspondence with Landau Fermi-liquid behaviour persists in the accessed regions of the phase diagram, where small pockets are observed. Quantum oscillation resu...

Phase diagram of underdoped cuprate superconductors: Effects of Cooper-pair phase fluctuations

In underdoped cuprates fluctuations of the phase of the superconducting order parameter play a role due to the small superfluid density. We consider the effects of phase fluctuations assuming the exchange of spin fluctuations to be the predominant pairing interaction. Spin fluctuations are treated in the fluctuation-exchange approximation, while phase fluctuations are included by Berezinskii-Ko...

The Magnetic Origin of dx2-y2 High-Tc Superconductivity from Tunneling Spectroscopy Measurements on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x Single Crystals

The complete scenario of high-Tc superconductivity based on experimental data from electron-tunneling spectroscopy on underdoped, overdoped and Ni-doped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x single crystals using a break-junction technique is presented. There are two different types of superconductivity in cuprates: superconductivity due to pairing of spinons on charged stripes and magnetic superconductivity mediate...
